OR-T 250 Battery Operated Strapping Tool

There are several battery operated strapping tools for plastic banding in the market. One of the more popular brands among battery operated tools is Orgapack, The OR-T-250 is user friendly for plastic strapping and it runs automatically, semi-automatically or manually. It also has a soft corner mode for fragile loads.

The OR-T-250 runs on a 14.4 V lithium ion battery from Bosch. This battery is considered very efficient and is presently used in many battery operated tools. This battery is durable and long lasting and takes very little time to recharge. The tool also completes up to 400 applications per full charge. It has adjustable tension force of 560 pounds with an adjustable strap option.

Earlier, this Orgapack tool was in for flak with customers complaining about flaws and that its motor and boards did not hold up well. But with the new improved version all the flaws have been rectified and the boards are holding up real well.

The OR-T-250 comes with two lithium ion batteries (14.4V) and a charger. It also has a soft mode that makes it safe to strap small or fragile packages. The tool uses the friction-weld technology to seal and this gives a sealless joint with the same efficiency given by metal seals. This is a very cost effective method of sealing. However some industry users do not trust the efficiency of the friction weld type of sealing. They are most comfortable using metal seals that they believe to be more secure during transportation.

However, friction weld sealing has proved its worth by providing good joint efficiency and it is secure until the package reaches its destination. Another advantage to friction weld sealing is that there is no risk of rusting with this kind of sealing, whereas in metal seals there is a risk of the metal rusting.

The friction weld seal can withstand humid or damp conditions without fear of damaging. The OR-T 250 takes only 3 seconds to complete the entire sealing process. The time saved by the operator makes this tool an efficient investment and to increase productivity. To ensure accurate and precise tensioning, a digital display panel shows the set tensioning level with the option to change it depending on the application.
